Baldwin, George Emerson

BALDWIN, George Emerson - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Saturday March 3, 2018, at the age of 87.

Emerson is sadly missed by his wife of more than 65 years, Marilyn, and children Diane Bohonoski (Paul), Douglas Baldwin, grandchildren Kristin Baldwin (Dennis Laurie), Blair Baldwin (Lindsay) and great grandchildren Nicholas and Mackenzie Laurie and Wesley Baldwin. Also survived by his sister Shirley Winger.
Emerson enjoyed a career in the automotive industry spanning more than 35 years and residences in Cayuga, Orillia, Kitchener, St. Catharines and Guelph. Family road trips and camping were important activities during these years. With retirement came more travelling with Marilyn, enjoying travel throughout North America, as well as internationally. Emerson was active in the WBCCI Ontario Unit. Their retreat in Elora was a special place of relaxation and fly fishing on the Grand.

At Emerson's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date. Condolences for the family may be arranged through the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel in Guelph (519-822-0051/www.wallcustance.com).

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Lung Association or Hospice Wellington would be appropriate.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff who assisted Emerson over the last number of months, including Bonita. Thanks also to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington and especially Sarah. All of you demonstrated an extraordinary level of care and compassion. Our community is truly blessed by the care of these individuals and organizations.

See You Down The Road
