EVANS, James Nicholas
James Nicholas Evans of Guelph passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday April 24th, 2018 at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of the late Velma (Kerr). Much loved father of Marlene Sinclair and Lori Chatten (Ken). Proud grandfather of Brandi Howlett (Rob), Tara Sinclair (Shane) and James Chatten. Great-grandfather of Brady, Wyatt, Easton, Jackson, Colton and Cheyenne. Brother to Doug (Norma), Irene Miller, Shirley Hersey, Don (Maureen), Charlie (Dorothy) and Betty Cornish. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Sheila, sister Matilda Keleher, brothers Lloyd, Frank, Clarence, Fred and his son-in-law James Sinclair.
James was a World War II Veteran.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of James N. Evans in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
