June was married to the late Aubrey Hagar (2017) for 70 years. They enjoyed a wonderful life together that included travel throughout North America and Europe, camping, playing golf and bridge, curling and entertaining friends and family.
Respected for her kindness and generosity, June dedicated much of her life to volunteering. Organizations that benefitted from her time and energy include the Canadian Health Association, Big Sisters, First Baptist Church and the Canadian Cancer Society, among many others. Her unending thoughtfulness was felt most by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she played a huge part in their upbringing. June dedicated each day of her life to helping and caring for others. She was admired for her skills as a gracious hostess, excellent cook and decorator. Throughout her life, June was positive, pleasant and constantly grateful even in difficult times.
