ELSEGOOD, John David -
Of Guelph, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 21, 2019, in his 57th year.
Survived by his loving wife, Di, children Clay and Geordana (Geo), parents Jack and Diana Elsegood, niece Cody, mother-in-law Pat Peres and brother-in-law Mikie Peres. Predeceased by his brother Mark (2018).
John had a bunch of brothers at Guelph Hydro where he worked for 32 years. He will be especially missed by his special buds Kirk Pollock, Kevin Duncan, Dave Wilson, Pat Drohan, Gary Bowen and many more. Fondly remembered by his “up north” friends from his younger days and his many acquaintances. John was very well-known all over Guelph, always waving to everyone – hence his nickname “the Pope”. Brother Mark and good friend Greg Marshall will be waiting with open arms.
“What goes on in the garage, stays in the garage.”
A celebration of John’s life will be held at the Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club, 5700 Wellington County Rd 86, Ariss on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 1-4 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com.
