GAGNON, Bernard Claude -

Of Kitchener, passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in his 91st year.

Beloved husband of 68 years to Jean (nee Thompson). Cherished father of Laurie Tkautz (Jim Ziegler) and Lynn Gagnon. Very proud Papa of Chris Tkautz (Bronwyn), Michael Tkautz (Martha), Matthew Koretsky (Avery), Melissa Koretsky (Ryan) and Brandon Bye (Jasmine). Great grandpa of Sophie, Gemma, Olivia, Jaxson and Fredrick. Dear brother of Denise Tipping. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Golden Years Nursing Home for their compassionate care. Many thanks to the nursing staff at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the excellent care during Bernard’s final days.

At Bernard’s request, cremation has taken place. An intimate service for family and friends will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Private interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Bernard C. Gagnon in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
