RUITER, Alice – Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen on Friday, January 8, 2016, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John Ruiter (1989). Loved mother of Jane (Lowell) Wierstra, Albertine (Hank) Thalen, Clarence (Shelley) Ruiter, Lucy (Frank) van de Pol, Tina (Duanne) Kirch, Henry (Joanne) Ruiter, Peter (Wendy) Ruiter and Richard (Lisa) Ruiter. Oma will be sadly missed by her 26 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dear sister of Corrie de Graaf and sister-in-law to Jantje Huizinga. Predeceased by a grandson, a great granddaughter and a son-in-law. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Alice s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
