DUNSMOOR, Bette Anne – Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on January 29, 2025 in her 82nd year.
Predeceased by mother Helen Watt, father Orville Shaw and stepfather Bill Scott. Loved mother of Shawn (Carolyn) Dunsmoor of Fergus. Loving grandmother of Erica and Ryan Dunsmoor. Great grandmother of Nash Belisle. Dear sister of the late Verne (the late Isobel) Shaw, the late Gerry (Patty) Shaw of Elora and Richard (Patty) Shaw of Barrie. Predeceased by her special aunt Nellie Watt. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bette Anne was born and raised on a “Century” Farm on the 11th of Arthur and attended Mount Forest District High School. Following graduation, she went directly to teaching music in many schools in Grey County, ranging from Mount Forest to Hanover. She married Dale Dunsmoor in 1964 and started working in the office of Imperial Tobacco to where she retired in March of 2006.
She was a pianist at the Guelph Salvation Army for 12 years as well as a pianist for Salvation Sounds for 42 years with closest friends Brenda Campbell and Grace Welch.
A visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 12:00-2:00pm. Funeral service will follow directly in the funeral home chapel starting at 2:00pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to St. Jospeh’s Health Centre, in Guelph, to whom the family expresses sincere thanks for such compassionate care.
A tree will be planted in memory of Bette Anne Dunsmoor in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
