Agnes Mary “Betty” Van Wyck
April 21, 1934 – July 2, 2025
After a long life well lived we are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Betty at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on July 2, 2025. Mom was surrounded by the love of her family.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Fergus.
Predeceased by her husband Rex (1994 after 41 years of marriage), daughter Marilyn (2010), granddaughter Melissa (1997) and grandson Jamie (2019) and her entire Robertson family. She leaves behind her loving children Ann (Kevin Beams) Brampton, Sandy (Doug Cook) Clifford, Trish (Jeff Campney) Canmore, Alberta and Larry (Donna) Elora. Cherished grandchildren Ryan and Kris Polley, Phillip (Robyn) Beams, Gregory (Sarah) Beams and Scott (Becky) Cook. Adored great grandchildren Ethan and Emaa Polley, Blayke and Myles Cook and Adrian Beams. As well as her many nieces and nephews.
The family extend their gratitude to Dr’s Mark Easterbrook and Chris Lund, the Staff at Highland Manor as well as the Staff at Groves Memorial Hospital who provided Mom with loving care, compassion, kindness and a smile.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 (2pm – 4pm) at the Fergus Legion, 500 Blair St, Fergus, ON. Internment at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to the Aboyne Rural Hospice or Groves Memorial Hospital in Betty’s memory.
It is with heavy hearts we say good-bye, she will be forever missed and always remembered.
