TRAVIS, Calvin – April 19, 1926 to August 24, 2024
Calvin George Travis of Guelph passed away peacefully with his loving daughter by his side at the Sunnybrook Veterans Residence on August 24th, 2024 in his 99th year.
He is reunited with the love of his life Ruth Travis (Nee Crawford), married for 52 years. Loved father to Brenda Ruth Travis and Donald Calvin Travis. Loved Grandfather to Caitlyn and Great Grandfather to Colin. Almighty Gramps to his loved dog lucky.
Dear brother to Jim who will miss him. Predeceased by his sister Joyce and brothers Bill and Murray. Wonderful nieces and nephews who brightened his days. Cindy, Rod & Judy, Lynn & Peter, Janet & Kevin, Margot & Curtis, Mark & Stephanie, Kent & Colleen.
A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at the SW L Wing at Sunnybrook Veterans. All your compassion & care, my Dad loved each and every one of you. Edwin his primary nurse, Annie from select homecare. Linda, Stella, Lina and Lesley for caring for my dad for so many years in his home.
My Dad lived a very full life, He was a proud WW2 Veteran along with being a Korean War Veteran who fought in the Korean War served in the Princess Patricia Canadian light Infantry. He was a plumber for the Toronto Board of Education for 30 years, he loved travelling and golfing (very much) along with reading. His many outings and indoor golf with his legion friends.
He loved his time with his family as we loved every moment with him. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral service will be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Saturday, September 14 at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Sunnybrook Veterans Residence would be greatly appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Calvin G. Travis in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
