HILLMAN, Donald Edward – September 14, 1933 – April 19, 2023
Don passed away with his daughter Margaret and son in-law Larry at his side, honoring his wishes.
Don is survived by his daughter Margaret Van Volkenburg and his son in-law Larry Van Volkenburg, his daughter Dianne Hillman and his son David Hillman. Grandfather to Tyler Van Volkenburg, Kerrie Speake (Colin), Matthew Hillman (Brittany), Robbie Wilson, Jennifer Larmer (Roger), Sabrina Sinclair (Brent), Crystal Hillman, Kevin Anderson (Jennifer) and Jennifer Anderson. Known as HoHo to many of his 16 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandson expected in July. Survived by his sisters Marilyn Cleary and Ruth Lennon, his brother in-law Allen McDowell, sister in-law Marian McDowell and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Eleanor on February 20, 2022, his parents Charles and Jane, his brother Douglas, Eleanor’s son Bob Anderson and nephew Will McDowell.
His dear friends at Wellington Park Retirement, especially Dorothy, Janet, Henry and Helen will miss their daily chats with him. Don and Eleanor considered the staff as family, and they loved being part of this community.
Thank you to everyone who provided care and support to Don over the years.
We rejoice in the knowledge that Don and Eleanor are reunited and have already started on another adventure together.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Guelph Public Library Bookmobile in Don’s name.
