RYAN, Edward (Ned) Joseph – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward (Ned) Joseph Ryan. Surrounded in love by his 2 daughters, he passed away peacefully June 18, 2025 at the age of 80.
Beloved husband to Dolores (Dee), father to Leigh and Kelly and grandfather to Makenna, Luke, Kayla, Megan, Delaney and Bridget.
Pre-deceased by his beloved mother, Josephine, his father, Edward and younger sister, Patricia Josephine (Patti Jo).
Dad was known to all as kind beyond measure. He was a strong, hard-working man who was still working up until a few weeks before his passing. He loved meeting with people and puttering away with his self-made business. He was deeply devoted to his family and had an unmistakable booming and enthusiastic voice and laugh that will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Dad enjoyed the simple things in life, family celebrations, quiet days at home with mom, a cup of tea, painting, reading, watching the birds at the feeder, butter tarts and a good glass of wine.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to dad’s brothers Fred (Helen), and Hugh (Barb) along with his sister, Mary Jane, for all their love and support during dad’s brave battle. It meant so much to have you there with him.
Additionally, a very warm thank you to the incredible staff at Wellington Hospice. Your compassionate and exceptional care of dad and our whole family was something we will always be grateful for.
