ALBERTS, Elfriede Gertrud – passed away peacefully in her sleep at The Elliott Community – Nottingham in Guelph, Ontario on August 30, 2023.
Born Elfriede Gertrud Garnatz on July 1, 1921, in Bremen, Germany where she married her husband, Arnold Hermann Alberts. Together Elfriede and Arnold emigrated to Guelph in 1955 with their two children, Barbara and Kurt. Arnold passed away in 2005. Elfriede was a loving mother to her daughter, Barbara who lives in Quebec, and her son, Kurt who lives in British Columbia. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nicholas Alberts, Hans Audy, Andre Audy (wife, Nadia) and great grandson, Joey Audy.
Elfriede will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph beside Arnold, her husband of more than 55 years.

A tree will be planted in memory of Elfriede Alberts in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
