FLYNN, Elizabeth C. – Of Guelph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022, in her 76th year.
Predeceased by her loving husband Edwin Flynn. Loved mother of Paul (Jessica), Melissa (Andrew), and Catherine. Dear Nana of Madelyn, Evan, Lila, and Jason.
Survived by her brother Joseph (Maura), brother-in-law Tom, sister-in-law Shirley, aunt Teresa, cousins Brian (Danielle), Maureen, Barry (Gin), and Tom (Patricia), god-son Michael (Tina), nieces Sarah (Paul), Emma (Stuart), Cindy (Craig), Jackie (John), and Amanda (Raj), nephews Karl (Julie), Daragh (Leah), Tomas (Briony), Fergal (Emma), and Aaron. Predeceased by her sisters Judith and Yvonne, uncle Jim, aunt Eva (Mike), brother-in-law Hank, and cousin Marie.
Proud Nana to fur babies Sophie, Chewy, Teddy, and Toby.
Born and raised in Dublin, Elizabeth and her life-long best friend, Olive, emigrated to Canada in their early twenties, settling near family in Toronto. This independence and sense of adventure were traits that she would demonstrate throughout her life.
An avid gardener, golfer, and sun-seeker, Elizabeth always put her family above everything else and was an active and involved Nana to her beloved grandchildren. Throughout her life, she worked hard in a rewarding career to provide for her family. The quiet, dignified strength of her last months will be remembered by those closest to her. She will be dearly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at Marymount Mausoleum. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051/ www.wallcustance.com).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to Hospice Wellington.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elizabeth C. Flynn in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
