KARAM, Fadi H. – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Fadi H. Karam, of Guelph, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of 71, at Hospice Wellington, after a courageous battle with illness. He was surrounded by love in his final days.
Fadi was the beloved brother of Chafic (Charlie), Toufic (Tom), and Mona. A cherished uncle to Akl, Ghada, Rola, Wissam, Roni, Lina, Fadia, Rita, Sylvana, Maguy, Charbel, Janice, Todd, Tony, and Stephen. Predeceased by his brothers Rafic and Wafic, his sisters Marie and Moha. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished each and every member, always extending his kindness and support.
His life was marked by his deep faith, with the church being a guiding light through the good and the bad times. He was a devoted and active member of his local parish, where he found solace and strength. His connection with his faith was unwavering, offering him peace and joy throughout his life.
Fadi was a dedicated teacher and touched the lives of so many of his students and fellow teachers. He loved his job and was beloved by his students for his energetic teaching style and the ability to help them easily adapt to their new home in Canada.
He was known to all as a man filled with genuine warmth, kindness, and an infectious joy for life. His presence could light up any room, and his sincerity touched everyone who knew him. He was a loyal and compassionate friend, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear.
Although Fadi didn’t have children of his own, he was a role model and the favourite uncle to all the kids in the family. He was an integral part of his great nephew and niece, Xavier and Ameera’s lives. Whether playing backgammon or cards, Fadi was always ready for a friendly competition, enjoying countless hours in good company, creating memories filled with laughter and joy.
