STAFFORD, Falliss – passed peacefully into the presence of His Lord on Thursday June 12, 2025, at the Elliott Community Long Term Care facility in Guelph, ON.
Falliss was born on February 22, 1939, in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, as one of nine children. He immigrated to Canada in his late teens, making his home in the Toronto area. A short time after coming to Canada, Falliss found the Lord Jesus as his personal saviour, and joined the fellowship of Christians meeting in Bracondale Gospel Hall. In 1968 he married Grace Ussher, and they lived for many years in Willowdale and subsequently in Richmond Hill. In later years they lived in Guelph, ON. Falliss and Grace were renowned for their kindness and hospitality over many years.
Falliss was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace on March 8, 2008, and missed her dearly for the remaining years of his life.
Falliss is survived by two of his sisters – Dorinda, who lives in London, England, and Gertie of the Philadelphia area.
In 1973, Falliss and Grace opened their home and their hearts to take in Eleanor and Andrew Ussher, Grace’s niece and nephew, and provided them a loving home and family for many years until each of them was married. Falliss leaves behind Eleanor and Andrew along with their extended families – eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, ON N1H 4K3 on Monday, June 16th, 2025, at 11AM. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10-11AM. Burial will be at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road E. Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9
