McCREARY, Helen Laura Lois – Passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital on March 5, 2023.
Born in Toronto, Ontario on December 14, 1936. Helen grew up in Toronto and also lived at Sparrow Lake and in Guelph. Helen never married nor had children but loved many teddy bears during her life.
Pre deceased by her parents, brother Albert McCreary, sister Sally Eagles, brother in law Stanley Eagles. Survived by brother Frank McCreary.
Helen lived most of her adult life at Sparrow Lake in the loving care of her cousin Marion Parkes (Pearl Butler). Moving to Guelph in her retirement years Helen continued to be cared for by her late brother Albert & Darlene McCreary (surviving sister-in-law). During the last 10 years of her life Helen has been living with one of her nieces. Since late 2022 she was compassionately cared for at Carresant Care. Fondly called Aunt Helen she is survived by 6 nieces and 1 nephew, as well as many great nieces & nephews and great, great nieces & nephews. Thinking lovingly of Auntie Helen enjoying a Teddy Bears Picnic, somewhere over the rainbow!
Heartfelt thank you to Carresant Care Nursing Home, Fergus and Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus.
