JANUCH, James (Jim) – Better known as the Man, the Myth and the Legend, passed away at Hamilton General Hospital on October 18, 2024, with his loving family by his side.
Adored son of the late Ann (2012) and Louis Januch (2004). Beloved husband to Marnie (2022), Proud father of Katherine (Michael) of Guelph and stepfather to Nicole Riley of London, ON. Dotting grandfather to Bryson, Ever and Irelynn of London, ON. Dear brother of Lucy Graham (Larry), Linda, George (Tracey), and Michael (2021). Jovial uncle to Jeff, Alison, Michael, Breanne, Chantel, Melisssa and Tanya.
Jim was born in Strathroy, ON and he lived in Delaware, ON and Port Perry, ON. He made many friends across Canada and the USA as a car hauler, proudly following in his father’s footsteps. Jim worked for companies such as Sea-rail Hauling, ACL, Bison, Oak Wood Transportation, TFX International and Wilride.
Jim will be missed by his many coworkers, friends and most of all, his fur babies, whom Jim absolutely adored and will now be cared for by Sandy Sullivan.
Jim was a proud member of the Armchair Car Haulers Club. When he wasn’t hauling, he travelled the world on his cruise ships.
We know you will be happily hauling cars with your dad by your side in heaven. Jim, you will be loved and forever missed.
Cremation has taken place as per Jim’s wishes. His celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 12-4 PM at St. Mary’s High School located at 1500 Block Line Rd., Kitchener, ON. N2C 2S2 in the cafeteria.

In Jim’s memory, donations to the charity of your choice or to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated in Jim’s Honour.
A tree will be planted in memory of James (Jim) F. Januch in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
