HURTUBISE, Jean-Noel (John) – Peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on December 24th at the age of 92.
He will be greatly missed by his children Brenda (Bob) Stevenson of Guelph, Marc (Heather) Hurtubise of Listowel, Sara-lynn (Bruce) Stevenson of Guelph and Shannon (Greg) Pharoah of Cambridge. His memory will live on in his 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Virginia McDonald (1988) and his daughter Donna-Mae (1967).
John was one of 3 remaining siblings out of 13 children born to Eleazar and Alberta Hurtubise. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Albina McCann, and sadly missed by his brother Reginald Hurtubise. He was great friends with his brother and sister-in-law Morley and Ruby Grigg, and will be fondly remembered by Isabelle Cherry, Ron, and Damaris Barnett.
John was a carpenter by trade and built many homes in the Sudbury area. John was a long-time employee of Inco before retiring and moving south to Brampton, ON. John’s service to the church was a passion of his, as well as his involvement as a Gideon, whose commitment to sharing God’s Word is recognized around the world. John was known for his gentleness and compassion, and his love of singing will be missed by all the staff and residents of LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home in Guelph. A special thank you is extended to the staff at LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home for their loving and caring commitment to John.
