Rogerson, Jerrold Gare (Jerry)

February 13, 1940 – April 19, 2025

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Rogerson on April 19th, after a year long battle with melanoma. Jerry leaves behind his wife, Karen Hoover, daughter Candice, son Gordon and sister Karyn. Grandpa Jerry to Jonah, Anna Rose, Liam, Tyson and Tamlyn.

Jerry taught at Centre Wellington D. H. S. from 1968 – 1997 in the English and History Departments, where he also helped coach football and wrestling.

He looked forward to Fridays when he met with his fellow teachers at the Gorge Family Restaurant and solved the problems of the world!

Jerry was very thankful for the excellent care he received at Groves Memorial Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Norrie, Dr. Gower, Dr. Lund and the nurses and P. S. W.’s who took such wonderful care of Jerry in his final days.

Donations to Aboyne Hospice or Groves Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
