Marett, John Francis – Passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen Nursing Home on Saturday, November 23, 2013, in his 81st year. His loving family was able to be with him just before he passed. Beloved husband of Clara. Loving father to Jay (Jennifer) and Dean (Cheryl). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Brandon, Zachary, Kylie, Joshua and Rebecca. Predeceased by his sister Joyce and his brother Roy. John will be missed by his nephews and nieces and other family members in Jersey (U.K.), Wales, Australia, Singapore, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. John was born in Jersey, Channel Islands and moved to Canada in 1954. He has been a proud Canadian ever since. Long-time faithful member and choir member of St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church in Guelph. For many years he was actively involved as an actor in Royal City Musical Productions and Guelph Little Theatre. His kindness and gentleness touched all who knew him. Known affectionately as “Grandpa John” at Riverside Glen. Thanks to Marion, Bernadette and all the staff at Riverside Glen. John is now with Jesus in Paradise. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate John s life will be held at St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church, 161 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Red Cross (Typhoon Haiyan Relief) or St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church, Guelph, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

• Ongoing communications with those that we serve to ensure that they are aware of the current Covid-19 status of our municipality and the accompanying guidelines.
We continue to rely on the advice provided by health experts and are committed to doing all we can to keep our community healthy.
