KIRYLUK, John L. – It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of John Leslie Kiryluk on January 31, 2026, at the age of 68. John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
John was the beloved husband of Tina Kiryluk (née Sorbara). He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Jody Haras and Janet Kiryluk, and his brothers- and sisters-in-law Tony, David (Lynn), John Jr., and Sandy Farrell (John). A proud and devoted Waco, John cherished time with Jocelyn (Steve), Cheyanne, and Colin, and he held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews Jason, Nicole, Amanda, Christopher, and Brittney. John was the devoted son of the late Elsie (Nellie)—with whom he shared a birthday—and Terry (Taras) Kiryluk, with whom he shared a particularly strong and meaningful bond.
John’s love for his dogs was boundless; to him, they were cherished family members. He found particular companionship and joy in his beloved dog, Shauna, who was his constant, loyal friend. His happiest place was the cottage in Sauble Beach, where he spent many joyful seasons and created treasured memories.
John found simple pleasures in life—watching NASCAR, enjoying classic sitcoms, taking leisurely drives, and relaxing at home with Tina. Known for his warm smile and quick wit, he had a playful spirit and a knack for bringing laughter into any room with his good-hearted, often delightfully corny, jokes. Even through health struggles, he faced life with humor, grace, and a joyful heart.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and critical care nurses at Guelph General Hospital for their compassionate and attentive care. A very special thank you to Nurse Francis, whose kindness and compassion meant so much to John and his family—your care made a profound difference and will always be remembered.
