HEWITT, Lawrence (Larry) Edgar – Passed away suddenly on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Beloved father of Christine Pettigrew (Adam), Lawrence Hewitt and Corrine Hewitt, Kevin J. Hewitt (Charlene) and Michael Pettigrew. Beloved grandfather/papa, great grandfather, uncle and great uncle. Brother of Donna Maher, Sharon Holt, Laurie Yorke. Sister-in-law of Carol Pettigrew (Mike), brother-in-law of Jim and Patty Pettigrew. He will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth Lynn Hewitt and parents Elmer and Lillian Hewitt.   

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Monday, January 30, 2023 from 1pm-3pm. A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

 

A tree will be planted in memory of Lawrence (Larry) E. Hewitt in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.

COVID-19 UPDATE | STATEMENT: 

The health of those we serve, our employees and our guests is of the utmost importance to us, and as such, we are diligently following the directives of Canadian public health authorities and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario to keep everyone safe and well.

We have implemented the following measures to maintain the safety of both our staff and those that visit our facility:

• Enhanced and frequent cleanings, with particular focus on high-traffic and high contact areas.

• Hand-sanitizer is available in all high-traffic areas.

• Maintenance of physical distancing, both during visitations and services, and during our meetings with families.

• Ongoing communications with those that we serve to ensure that they are aware of the current Covid-19 status of our municipality and the accompanying guidelines.

We continue to rely on the advice provided by health experts and are committed to doing all we can to keep our community healthy.
