Lynda Fraser
1953 – 2025
With love and remembrance, we announce the passing of Lynda Marie Fraser on June 9th, 2025 at the age of 71.
Lynda’s life had its challenges, and she will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and quiet strength. She loved basking in the sun, curling up with a good book, watching hallmark movies, and especially creating beautiful knitted and crocheted sweaters and blankets—gifts that earned her the beloved nickname “Sweater Grandma.”
Lynda is survived by her former husband, Larry Fraser, and their children: Jennica Oster (Mark), Neil Fraser (Rebecca), and Sarah Regier (Stefan). She was a proud grandmother to Logan, Hannah, Kyle, Oliver, Jacob, Simon, and Charlotte. She also leaves behind her dear siblings Mary (John), Theresa (Len), Cliff (Jeanette) and Dave (Kathy), along with many nieces and nephews—including her niece Susan Kellman with whom she shared a close bond.
Lynda will be remembered for her giving heart, her gentle spirit, and warmth. Her legacy of love and handmade treasures will continue to comfort those she held most dear.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 10am at Saint Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph. Cremation has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Lynda M. Fraser in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
