WALTON, Gary – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gary Walton. At age 79, he passed suddenly on June 30, 2024 at Grand River Hospital Kitchener.
Predeceased by his wife Darlene Walton in June 2018, Gary is survived by his sister Marlynn Swanston, children Ashley (husband Robert)Taraborrelli, Scott Walton and grandchildren Morgan and Jackson Taraborrelli.
Born and raised in Guelph serving his community as Ward 2 Councillor in the mid 90’s and early 2000s along with being a long standing billet for the Guelph Storm, his commitment to the community will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Guelph Country Club, 133 Woodlawn Rd E, Guelph on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family would graciously encourage donations to the Grand River Hospital Satellite Dialysis Center, The Clayton Dialysis Center in Guelph located on Delhi street.
A tree will be planted in memory of M. Gary Walton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
