CHAPMAN, M. Pearl – Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at The Village of Riverside Glen on Sunday, February 26, 2023 in her 85th year.  

Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Chapman (2012). Loved mother of Debbie Wong (Roger Tersch), Judy Gilfillan (the late Mike), the late Lorlei Chapman, Sandy Alger (Gary), and Stephen Chapman (Tina). Loving grandma to Ryan, Tara, Shannon, Andy, Mike, Daniel, Jamie, John, and Analecia. Great grandma to Mackenzie, Zachary, Lillian, and Luna.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30pm. Guests may attend remotely via Zoom by using this link. Burial to take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Memorial contributions to the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated. 

 

A tree will be planted in memory of M. Pearl Chapman in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.

COVID-19 UPDATE | STATEMENT: 

The health of those we serve, our employees and our guests is of the utmost importance to us, and as such, we are diligently following the directives of Canadian public health authorities and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario to keep everyone safe and well.

We have implemented the following measures to maintain the safety of both our staff and those that visit our facility:

• Enhanced and frequent cleanings, with particular focus on high-traffic and high contact areas.

• Hand-sanitizer is available in all high-traffic areas.

• Maintenance of physical distancing, both during visitations and services, and during our meetings with families.

• Ongoing communications with those that we serve to ensure that they are aware of the current Covid-19 status of our municipality and the accompanying guidelines.

We continue to rely on the advice provided by health experts and are committed to doing all we can to keep our community healthy.
