Marcelina Galang, 85, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Born on March 12, 1940, in Manila, Philippines, she brought warmth and joy to every place she called home throughout her life.
Marcelina was a devoted wife to Vicente Galang and a loving mother to her three daughters: Glodeth Leva and her husband Ronald; Gracita Roy and her husband Randall; and Germelina Sanchez. She was a cherished grandmother to Jalysa, Ariel, and Dominic Leva, as well as Connor and Douglas Roy. Her legacy continues through her great-granddaughter Ayla Leva.
A woman of deep faith, Marcelina was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and participated faithfully in the Our Lady of Fatima Prayer Group. Her spiritual devotion was evident in the way she lived—always welcoming others with open arms and a radiant smile that could light up any room.
Marcelina had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether through her beautiful singing voice that could captivate an entire ballroom or her love for card games and social gatherings with friends, she created spaces filled with laughter, music, and connection. Her kindness was boundless; she gave freely of herself to anyone in need and offered comfort without hesitation.
Her family remembers her not only for the joy she brought into their lives but also for the strength of her unconditional love. Marcelina’s presence was a source of light—her laughter infectious, her compassion unwavering.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
