In Loving Memory of Margaret Eyre (née Wood)
We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Margaret Eyre, on June 21, 2025, in Guelph. She left this world surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 29, 1941, Margaret’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and kindness. Her warmth, generous spirit, and unwavering support deeply touched the hearts of those who knew her.
Margaret will be dearly missed by her loving children, Steven (Claudia), Karen (Mario), and Kevin, and cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Meaghan, Zoe, and Rhiannon. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald (2003). Margaret is survived by her devoted brother George (Jeanett) Wood of Lucan, and her caring sister-in-law Janice (Larry) Snell of Goderich.
Margaret dedicated countless hours to charitable causes, including cancer fundraising and Meals on Wheels. She found joy in the delicate beauty of butterflies and her love for gardening blossomed in vibrant colours. She was a treasured friend and neighbour, always ready with a kind word and a warm smile.
We are deeply grateful to the compassionate staff at Hospice Wellington and Guelph General Hospital for their care and support during this difficult time.
A private graveside service will be held in the coming days, attended by close family. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory to Hospice Wellington or Guelph General Hospital would be deeply appreciated.
Margaret’s legacy of love, kindness, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Forever in our hearts.
A tree will be planted in memory of Margaret E. Eyre in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
