SWANSON, Margaret Elizebeth (nee Duck) – It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Elizebeth Swanson beloved wife for 26 years of Rick Swanson on December 28, 2022. She is at peace after battling with a traumatic brain injury for three years.
Margaret is survived by her brother Brian Duck (Judy), sisters Catherine (Archie Hafichuk), Kathleen Creary, sons Darren Creamer (Deb Samuelson), Michael Creamer (Daniella), Jason Creamer (Tanya), Scott Creamer (Marnie Ralph), and stepdaughters Francesca Swanson and Angelique Swanson (Stephen Drohan). Margaret leaves seven grandchildren Brendyn, Kyle, Dylan, Grant, Connor, Everett, and Zoe as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Born on March 22, 1949 in Toronto to Gordon and Winifred Duck. Margaret married Glenn Creamer. After raising her family she went on to attend Western and York Universities to obtain her BA and B.Ed. She enjoyed teaching young children. Margaret’s passion was collecting angels.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Elliott Long Term Care Home for their compassion and care of Margaret.
A visitation will be held at Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St. N., Guelph on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10 – 11 am with a memorial service following at 11 am. Reception to take place in the church hall. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lion’s Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (152 Wilson St., Oakville, ON L6K 3H1).
A tree will be planted in memory of Margaret E. Swanson in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.

• Maintenance of physical distancing, both during visitations and services, and during our meetings with families.
• Ongoing communications with those that we serve to ensure that they are aware of the current Covid-19 status of our municipality and the accompanying guidelines.
We continue to rely on the advice provided by health experts and are committed to doing all we can to keep our community healthy.
