Mary Jane Tosh
Date of Death: October 07, 2021

TOSH, Mary Jane – Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in her 95th year.

Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Iva Tosh. Dear sister of Margaret Skerritt, Beatrice Bell, Jean Early, Thelma Beaver (Ken) and Mildred Norrish. Sister-in-law to Doris, Lois and Evelyn Tosh. Predeceased by her brothers Norman and wife Mary, Tom, Cliff and Elwood Tosh and her sister Aileen (Buchan, Hattle). Beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a long-time member of Chalmers United Church and Trinity United Church in Guelph. She had a very generous heart and it was very rare that someone didn’t take something home with them after a visit with her. She loved to knit afghans and many people were the happy recipients of her labours of love.

Sincere thanks to College Place Retirement Home for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Mary during the five years she resided there.

A private family service will be held at Wall Custance Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12 at 11 AM. Guests may attend remotely via Zoom by clicking this link. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph. WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph / 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

In Mary’s memory, should you wish, online donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or charity of choice through the funeral home website: www.wallcustance.com.

A tree will be planted in memory of Mary J. Tosh in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
