RICKETT, Michael Anthony – It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Michael Anthony Rickett in his 72nd year.

Michael leaves behind is devoted and beloved wife, of 47 years, Verna Lynn Rickett.

Loved father of Carolyne Rickett of Nanaimo, B.C., Matthew (Shelley) Rickett of Ladysmith, B.C., Kelley Haugh of Guelph, and Melanie Parkinson of Guelph.  Loving grandfather of William French, Ryan French, Megan Rickett, Alexander Rickett, Marlee Mae Rickett, Ethan Haugh, Jensen Haugh, and four great grandchildren. Dear brother of Linda Fox, the late Barbara Jackson, Rita Laderoute, and Heather De Forest. Mike also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bertrand and Mary (Breese) Rickett.

Mike also leaves behind his faithful nurse Tara (his dog) who took such special care of him.

Mike fought a long, hard battle with cancer. He was a very hard worker. He drove off and on for Canadian Cab, worked at Pirelli Cables, and GSW/AO Smith. Mikes blue eyes and beautiful smile, as well as his sense of humour, made everyone happy.

We want to thank Dr. William Ruddock, Nurse Bonita, and all the PSW’s who helped and supported Mike on his journey home.

Mike will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Guelph Humane Society, or the Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Michael A. Rickett in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
