TJOELKER, Paul Edward – of Guelph, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 53 years.
Loved son of Mike and Faye Tjoelker. Dear brother of George (Sarah), Sylvia and Conrad (Keesha). Loving uncle to Aaron, Jenna, Steven, Annelise, Jacob, Sophia and Katherine.
Paul lived in Guelph his whole life attending John Calvin Christian School and Woodland Christian High School. After that he took many university courses and was always researching many things especially food supplements, healthy eating, and politics. He was an avid reader of the magazine “the Economist” and was a regular at the gym for many years. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, taking them to a movie or lunch or dinner.
He was a good son especially visiting his mom in the nursing home every week and was a comfort to his dad living in the same house for the last five years or so. He worked as a security guard for many years, and had good connections with his co-workers. He also regularly visited with his high school friend Ken and his family. He will be missed by all.
Friends will be received at Water Street Christian Reformed Church, 287 Water St, Guelph on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Church Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Arthritis Society Canada or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
