Darwen, Peter James – Of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, surrounded by his family, age 66.
Survived by his spouse Monica; his sons Joshua and Michael Darwen(predeceased); his siblings Dee Nash (Jim) and Janet Carriere (Vince); his nieces and nephews Stephen, Lindsay Wick, Brady (Holly), Leanne Nash, Andy, and Grant Swaniga; his extended family Elissa, Sean, Grover and Fred Madore, Erica, James, Nolan, and Quinn Koch. Ortrud, Frank, Erik, and Marc Rejeski. Sylvia Rice-Jones (John Lattimer) Veronica, David, Kristina, and Matthew Galajda. Norman, Carolyn, Daniel, and Emily Schwarz, Robert Schwarz; and his close friends Bruce and Paul.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Friday March 31, 2023, at 12:30pm in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment will take place at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cambridge Memorial Hospital- Oncology Unit would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Peter J. Darwen in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.

• Hand-sanitizer is available in all high-traffic areas.
• Maintenance of physical distancing, both during visitations and services, and during our meetings with families.
• Ongoing communications with those that we serve to ensure that they are aware of the current Covid-19 status of our municipality and the accompanying guidelines.
We continue to rely on the advice provided by health experts and are committed to doing all we can to keep our community healthy.
