GUTHRIE, Robert Allen – Jan 25th 1956 – Oct 26th 2024
It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Guthrie, at the Guelph General Hospital, at the age of 68 years.
Bob was the loving son of the late Ken (1986) and the late Mary (2016) Guthrie.
Beloved brother to the late Brian (2022) (Debbie), Brad (Carolyn) of Moncton N.B, Bruce (Reanna), Brenda (Bill Buck) and Bill Guthrie all of Guelph. Proud father to Jason (Cindy) of Fergus, Amanda (Dan Piluk) and Kristen (Jaime Lamb) of Guelph. Grandpa to Justice, Jonah, Luca, Noah, Isabella and Emmett; great grandpa to Maverick. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cherished friend to Steve and Donna Dechert of Plattsville, Ontario.
Bob loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, and completing a winter outdoor survival test. Loved his days of high school football and of course playing and watching hockey. Bob had a lot of hurdles and hoops to bare in the last years of his life. He fought the fight as long as he could.
God wrapped his arms around Bob and with the love and support of his family surrounding him, he breathed his last sigh of relief. Go rest in peace Bob. Heaven knows you have earned it.
