Robert (Bob) D. Hodgson

HODGSON, Robert – We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Robert (Bob) Hodgson in his 81st year on June 27 2025, in Guelph.

Beloved wife of the late Jo-Ann Hodgson. Loving father of Carolyn (Grant), Kim (Tom), and Sandra (Jamie). Cherished grandfather of Nolan (Justyss), Devin, Jazlyn, Dylan, Colson, Ryder & Emily.

He married the love of his life 55 years ago, and passed just 55 days after Jo-Ann – they are now re-united with one another, their love was inseparable.

He spent many years working hard on the family farm, enjoyed visits to the casino, he was an avid card player and was the president of the Guelph Men’s Cribbage league for 47 years.

Dad left us far too soon. He lived with purpose, grace, and resilience. His work ethic was unmatched, he will be missed by all his friends and colleagues at Central Ontario FS over the past 28 years. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

As per family wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life for Bob & Jo-Ann is happening on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00pm at The GrandWay Events Centre in Elora, 7445 Wellington County Rd 21, open to everyone that wishes to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory to the Guelph General Hospital would be deeply appreciated.
