KEATING, Robert Henry – With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Henry (Bob) Keating on January 17, 2026. It is great comfort to know that he is now reunited with his beloved wife Eleanor (nee Sorbara 2022). Bob was the devoted father of Michael (Debbie), Paul (Dawn), and Kenneth. Cherished Nonno to Kyle, Jason (Alyssa), Elna (Noah), Steven (Kaitlyn), Brenden, Alannah, and great grandsons Oliver and Carter.
Bob was born in Guelph to Joseph and Marguerite Keating in 1934, one of nine children, Bob is survived by his sister Mary Nadalin. Also survived by his brother-in-law Gino Tersigni (Nancy Sorbara). Bob will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Our father was a talented man who worked for many years at Imperial Tobacco and The Wellington County Separate School Board. Bob was well known for being a jack-of-all-trades with a special talent for decorating, home repairs and painting. In retirement, Bob was the handyman for Budds Department Store where he was known fondly as “Uncle Bob”. Our father will be remembered for many things, but mostly for his love and devotion for his family. Every day we will find new reasons to be grateful for the Dad we had.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hilltop Manor in Cambridge. Your care and kindness will not be forgotten.
A visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Friday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
