Robert Paul LaCroix
August 10, 1959 ~ March 24, 2024
It is with great sadness, and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Rob LaCroix on March 24, 2024 surrounded by family.
He will be forever missed by his best friend and partner of 26 years, Sharon and their son James Witczak, Sharon’s sister Sandy Dawson, and her family including Shauna, Andrew and children, and Scott and Stephanie.
Rob will be missed by his sisters who he loved dearly, Susan and Chris Muldonado, Germaine and Pete Hanneson, the late Doreen and her husband Bob Telford and daughter Colleen, his late brother Alfred, as well as their many children and grandchildren.
Rob fought a valiant battle with cancer for 4 years, and we thought we had bested it, but it returned in April 2023 and wore him down quickly. He was forever optimistic, believing that tomorrow would be a better day.
Rob’s accomplishments in life pale in comparison to the guidance and love he provided his son, and his devotion to Sharon. In his professional life, Rob was a skilled renovator for both residential and commercial, and could fix and repair anything with ease.
Special thanks to Bayshore Palliative, especially Nurse Laura, who helped make the transition to Hospice Wellington seamless. Thank you to Hospice for making his journey to the other side dignified and peaceful.
“Remember the joy, the laughter and smiles; I’ve only gone to rest a little while”
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Greek banquet hall located at 50 Dovercliffe Rd., from 1 to 4pm. Share memories…food and laughter and have a toast to Rob!
Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
