HENDERSON, Thomas – Of Guelph, passed away at home on Sunday 9th of June 2024, in his 89th year, just shy of turning 90 in August 2024.
Loving father of Linda Henderson, Lesley Doering and Jennifer Collins. Loving father-in-law to Ken Doering and Jim Collins. Loving grandfather to Emma Doering (Jeremy Toupin), Olivia Doering, Ethan Collins and Rory Collins. Dear brother to the late Margaret Clachers and the late brother-in-law Andy Clachers. Also survived by brother-in-law Brian Rituper, sister-in-law Olga Chetcuti and nephew Danny Chetcuti.
Tom was born in Leith, Scotland and immigrated to Montreal in his early 20’s. He later moved to Toronto, Ontario and retired in Guelph with his daughter Jennifer and family. He was a plumber/pipe and steamfitter and worked in both Canada and the U.K. He loved being with his family the most, especially the holidays, and was very generous with his children and grandchildren. In his younger years he mastered Judo. He loved live theatre, dancing, music, western movies, British comedy Only Fools and Horses, and the Morse and Endeavor series. He also liked his Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy game shows. He loved his daughters’ dogs Bentley, Madison, Lucy and Monty. Despite his health setbacks, he was determined to enjoy life to the fullest and had a good attitude about it all. He loved his homemade dinners, desserts, ice cream and don’t forget the chocolate! He had a big jovial personality and a sharp sense of humor, right to the end he didn’t miss a beat.
We will all miss him greatly and he has left a big void, but we are happy he can see and dance again. We love and miss you greatly Del Boy. XO XO XO.
