MARTIN, William (Sonny) – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William Manuel Martin at the Guelph General Hospital, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in his 82nd year.
Sonny is reunited with his loving wife Linda Martin (nee Hack) of 55 years.
Sonny will be greatly missed by his sons Dean (Barb), Samuel (Nancy), Douglas (Marla), and Shawn, and beloved grandchildren Jacob (Brittany), Sierra (Jason), Chelsea (Hannah) and Reid (Katie). Dear brother of Sam (Fran), Alec (Mary Alice), Marguerite (Alvin). Predeceased by brother Toff (Jean), Jim (Sue), Doug (Betty), Kelvin (Arlene), and sisters Donora (John) and Alice (Jim).
Sonny will be remembered by the Hack family. He will also be fondly remembered by many relatives and close friends that held a special place in his heart.
Sonny was a devoted father and husband. He loved to spend time with his family, he enjoyed playing darts, and going to car shows. He cherished the time that he and Linda spent living in Mississippi, USA, and Kelowna B.C., with their son Shawn. Sonny loved walks with his dog Pepper.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Guelph General Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Graham.
