Wayne M. Hacker

HACKER, Wayne Martin – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, at Hospice Wellington on Friday, August 18, 2023 in his 70th year.

Beloved husband of Lorraine (née Wedemire). Loved father of Adam (Krista), Matt, and Brandon (Paula León).  Dear brother of Lewie Hacker, Millie Archer, Yvonne Bonnick, Eva Hacker-Wedemire (Jeff), Helen Bunnaman (Fred), the late Destry Hacker (1972), Eileen Nash (Brian), Pat Hacker (Bev), Dennis Hacker (Thecla), the late Steve Hacker (1972), and Lorraine Beattie (Luciano Tomei). Predeceased by his parents Bertie (1972) and Dathlin (2017).  Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was a long time employee of Owens Corning, an avid gardener and a man who loved working with his hands.

A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10:30 am. (Click on this link to attend service remotely, via Zoom) Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
