James D. Schroder

SCHRODER, James Duncan On December 13, Jim Schroder died peacefully at home at the age of 95. Born and raised in Guelph, he served his students, his community and his country with distinction. He was predeceased by his parents Irvin (1942) and Edna (1976), his brother, Donald (RCAF 1942) and his wife, Elizabeth (1992). He is survived by his four children, Elizabeth (Brent McArthur), Anne (Paul Mulligan), James (Joanne) and Don (Sandy), his grandchildren Melissa and Nicole, and special friend Pat Harvey and her extended family. Jim will be remembered always for his optimism, love of life and for his dedication to his family and friends. Immortality is in the memory of the mind; so continue to remember Jim with love, affection and respect. At Jim’s request, cremation and a private family goodbye have taken place. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jim are asked to consider the charity of their choice. Flowers are respectfully declined.
