SWAN, Jeremy – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jeremy Swan. Our loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, November 11th, 2023.
Jeremy’s sudden passing has left all of us in a state of shock as we attempt to deal with facing the coming days & years without Jeremy in our lives. Those of us who knew him well will share in our loss, but we know that you will also remember all the positive and memorable moments we all made with Jer. Visitations and Funeral arrangements have been made so that those who loved him can join us in remembering this beautiful and down to earth man who was loved by so many.
Jeremy is survived by his parents and step parents Debbie & Stan Schmidt and John & Jacqueline Swan, his sister Lisa Obrien and brother-in law Chris O’Brien, his sister Carla Swan, his brother Johnathan Swan and sister & niece Isabel Swan, his wife Amanda Quinn, father and mother-in law Tony & Vicki Quinn, brothers-in law Michael & Kevin Quinn, his nieces & nephews Colton & Rylee O’Brien, Jezalyn Bristow Swan, Jackson Swan, Colton O’Donnell Swan, grandmother Pamela Knight-Boyce, Aunts & Uncles, Gwen Miersma, Debbie Louttet (Chad), Roaul Prescod Knight, Richard Prescod Knight (Dianne), Danny Prescod Knight (Bev), Michelle Knight (Ashely), James Knight his uncle and best friend, his cousins Anthony Miersma (Maria), Sean (Joanne), Andrea Miersma Williams (Merrick), Andy Swan (Shannon), Sharon Swan, Kevin Gardiner (Krista), Jordon Meagher Knight, Christian Louttet (Paisley), Brandon Merrick, Bryce Deforest Knight, Katelyn Gardiner, Kyle Louttet, John Bard, Don Godding (Danielle), Dalton Godding (Kyla), Micheal Pilon, Amber Pilon (Jay), Brittany Merrick, Taylor Roundtree Knight (Mack), Sean Davidson Knight.
Predeceased by his grandparents Charlene MacCormack (George) and Bill MacCormack, Gwen & John Swan, his uncle and aunt Ken & Sue Swan, his great aunt Dot and his cousin Dominic Strickland Knight and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be remembered and grieved by many extended family members including those in England, the United States and Barbados.
To honour Jeremy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. All are welcome to join the family for a public visitation starting at 12:00pm. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with reception to follow after the service in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
Donations in memory of Jeremy can be made to Friends of Algonquin Park and would be appreciated by his family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Jeremy J. Swan in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
