MACARTNEY, Carrie Leanne (nee Barfoot)

April 24, 1971 ~ August 18, 2024

Our hearts are broken, Carrie left us far too soon on August 18, 2024 in her 54th year, surrounded by the love of her family by her side.

With her passing we lost so much. She was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.

Loving mother to Zachary, Carter and fur baby Marley. Adored daughter of Carol and Reg Norton and Sonny and Mary Barfoot. Cherished sister of Shawn Barfoot (Robin), Troy Norton (Kathy) and Trevor Norton (Mia). Special Aunt to Kylie Barfoot. Fondly remembered by her Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob Pike, Aunt Judy and Uncle George O’Gorman. Dear cousin to Paul Theaker, Tammy McLean, Erin Friessen, Kelly Pike, Lindsay Pike and families. Will be missed by her best friend Julie Knox.

She was a devoted advocate for children’s mental health both in her career and in her personal life.

While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the joy and love that Carrie brought into our lives, leaving us with cherished memories that will forever fill our hearts.
