WHITE, Jean Elinor (nee Lynden) – Passed away quietly with her family on 5 December 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas White (2008).
Loving mother of Lawrence Michael (partner Sylvia Kratz), Shawn Timothy (Caroline), Scott Alexander (Berenice) and Lance Jeffery (Louise) and grandmother of James (Erica), Beth, Samantha, Isabelle (Josh) and Toby.
Jean was born in Toronto but lived, worked, married and had her sons in Port Colborne. She loved working in her profession Home Economics later Family Studies. Her work took her to Welland, Thorold and Port Colborne before moving to Guelph where she taught for 25 years at The Lady of Lourdes and The Holy Family Tec Centre.
She loved creating and teaching many crafts both in Guelph and Tucson where Jean and Tom wintered for 10 years. She was active in Trinity United Church, the Guelph Bridge Club and the Village by the Arboretum.
Funeral service will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11am. For those who are unable to attend but wish to watch the service remotely, you can do so via YouTube by clicking this link. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment will take place at Overholt Cemetery in Port Colborne.
