HARVEY, Karla Fredericka (nee Lambe) – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Karla Fredericka Harvey (nee Lambe).
On the morning of February 11th, 2026 Karla was called home to be with her Lord, passing peacefully at Hospice Wellington, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Though our hearts grieve deeply, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that she now rests in perfect peace.
Karla is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Mike; her parents, Fred and Debbie Lambe; her sister Tara Glaude (Joel); and her cherished nephew, Jackson, whom she adored as a proud and faithful Godmother. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends. All who knew Karla were blessed by her incredible kindness and steadfast love. She was a woman of faith, and a lover of people, music, and animals, particularly her soul dogs Bruce and Maizy.
Born on June 21st, 1982 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Karla moved to Guelph with her family at the age of four. She completed her undergraduate degree and a Masters in Public Policy at the University of Guelph. Her heart for service led her to a position with the Government of Nunavut while living in Iqaluit. Upon returning back to Guelph she continued serving others in the non-profit sector, work that beautifully reflected her character.
“Gone, yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts”
A service will be held at Priory Park Baptist Church (8 Torch Lane, Guelph) on Monday, March 2nd 2026 at 11:00 am, with reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Karla’s memory may be made to Hospice Wellington or the Guelph Humane Society.
A tree will be planted in memory of Karla F. Harvey in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
