ANTONETTE, Sam – Passed away at Hillsdale Terrace on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the age of 63.
Predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Norman Antonette. Dear brother to Mary Guthrie (Ray Bint) and Brenda (Peter) McGarr. Loving uncle to Jerry Guthrie, David Guthrie, Aaron Bint, Julia McGarr, Brandon (Andrea) McGarr, and four great nieces.
Sam loved spending time with his family whether it was walking around Guelph Lake area, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, or going out for dinner at his favourite restaurant. He could spend hours walking and swimming when the weather was warm and taking a ride on a toboggan when it was snowy.
Sam’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hillsdale Terrance for their compassionate care over the many years he spent there. And to the family members that all knew Sam. They would drop by and say Hello then give him a treat.
A funeral service will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Marymount Cemetery.
