TAYLOR, Anne – Known lovingly as Anne, Annie, Big Ma, Ma, Mrs. T, Gran and Gram…
Anne was a proud and devoted Ma to her sons, Andrew (Kim) and Gary (Lara). Her boys meant the world to her – she was a true Mama Bear in every sense.
Compassionate, kind, and endlessly understanding, she was the heart of her family.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on September 2, 1942, Anne was one of six children alongside her brothers John, Francis, Joseph, Thomas, and James. She is survived by her brother, Joe.
In 1969, Anne immigrated to the Greater Toronto Area, where she and her dear husband, Andy Sr., built a life and raised their family. She cherished her travels – summer trips to Florida, visits back home to Scotland, adventures in Vegas, and celebrations at the Rangers Football Club in Brampton.
Anne loved the sunshine, a wee Pinot Grigio, and, most of all… time spent with family and friends.
To the ladies at the condo – she loved you dearly. You brought countless smiles to her face over the years, and for that, we thank you.
To her beloved grandchildren, Brooke and Nate – never forget how deeply she adored you. Gram never missed a birthday, proudly displayed your school photos, and was always ready for a spa day by B, dress-up, making forts with “my boy”, hockey games, and even the latest TikTok dance. She loved you beyond words and was so very proud of you both.
To her extended family in Scotland – she held you close in her heart and loved each of you.
We find comfort in knowing Anne is reunited with her Ma, Ma Burke, and her loving brothers.
No doubt she’s having a laugh, sharing stories, and dancing once again.
We’ll miss you so very much, Ma. You were the best Mum!
