MORRELL, Alan – It is with tears and love that we announce the unexpected, but peaceful passing of Alan, age 84, 1935-2019.
Alan was born in Manchester, England and was a long-time resident of Guelph.
He leaves his wife Valerie of 56 years, son Ian (Teresa), daughter Suzanne, grandchildren Nicholas and Abbigayle, not forgetting the canine family of Bella, Zoë, Whistler and Chester.
A 17 year member of the Guelph and Wellington Royal City Mens Club, a 51 year member of Trinity United, Alan was also an enthusiastic River Run volunteer for many years.
With heartfelt appreciation to EMS personnel, and Guelph General Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Friday from 7-9 pm and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St. N., Guelph on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2 pm. Reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre (185 Cherokee Lane Gravenhurst, ON, P1P 1Z9), The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital or Trinity United Church.
