GALLOWAY, Betty Lillian (nee Alder) – Betty passed peacefully in her sleep at Stone Lodge in Guelph on January 21, 2026, in her 96th year.
Beloved wife of Roy who passed in 2014, after 66 years of marriage. Mom to Rob (Joy), Bonnie (Brian), Debbie (Alex), MaryJane (Jeff), Tom (Yvonne) and Doug (Kim). Grandma to 16 grandchildren (and their partners) and Gigi to her 16 great grandchildren.
Betty will be sorely missed by her family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had a smile and a hug for all.
Betty was a creative soul who loved to keep busy, she would join in on any and all activities, never met anyone who did not become a friend and always found a way to feed one more at her table.
Her positive attitude and wonderful laugh will be remembered by all.
Thank you to Stone Lodge and their staff for the care, compassion, respect and love they gave everyday to Betty during her three plus years in residence.
Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a celebration of life in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
