December 18, 1999 – September 20, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darien after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family at Hospice Wellington, Guelph.

Beloved son of Aubrey Rickford and Norine Smid, dear brother of Tyrone, Devon and Skylar. Will be dearly missed by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Darien embraced life to the fullest with enthusiasm, humour and grace leaving a positive impact on those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A heartfelt thank-you to the care provided by his Oncology Teams and many Healthcare Practitioners in Guelph, Kitchener and Toronto.

At Darien’s request cremation and a private family celebration of life will be held.
