Donna Marie Moore, 84 years of Guelph has passed away on February 12, 2026, at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph in Guelph, ON.
Donna was the eldest of four loving sisters and brother; Judy (Jim); Fay (Herb decd); Elaine (Jim); twins Helen (Frank decd) and Hugh (Lucy).
Donna spent her early years growing up on a farm in Ariss, ON with the family moving to Guelph at the age of 11 years with parents Hazel and Clifford Chamberlain.
Donna was the beloved wife of William James (Bill) Moore her life partner of 64 years married. They first met at the Lion’s Park ball diamond as youth fostering a life long love as a devoted and loving mother to Shawn (Leah) and Sarah (Richard).
Donna was a warm; dedicated and thoughtful Grandmother to Kieran (Alexa); Madeline (Marco); Tessa; Julia; Rory; Nina; Evan and Daniel along with four Great- Grandchildren Josephine; Odette; twins Clifford and Francis.
Donna dedicated her life profession to teaching with patience, kindness and encouragement with young children. Donna continued her education earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Guelph.
Donna had many special interests and devoted time with family enjoying the pursuits of downhill skiing locally; across Canada and abroad with special fondness to return to Sun Peaks, BC with Bill.
Donna was a member of Paisley Memorial United Church and Trinity United Church with her faith being the cornerstone of her life.
Donna was an accomplished seamstress sewing clothing and blankets for family as well as being a fabulous cook.
Donna enjoyed travelling with family and friends sharing pictures to share in her joy.
Her legacy and gentle presence with her radiant smile will be forever in our hearts.
A special thank you to the medical team, support staff and Dr. Harvey at the Guelph General Hospital; 4th Floor East and West along with the specialized and dedicated care of the St Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph hospice.
